THE CLIMATE (R)EVOLUTION CONFERENCE

SDG Conference to restore the climate

LiveHope’s Climate (R)evolution Conference is the world’s largest televised climate restoration conference. The conference will present solutions, advances in science, practices, policies, and implement strategies to restore the climate, the environment, and biodiversity. Across the globe, centuries of unsustainable activities have damaged the climate, aquatic, marine, and terrestrial environments that underpin our economies and societies and give rise to a diversity of wildlife and plants.

Climate change and ecological destruction are still accelerating, despite the Paris accord, in a political and economic context shaped by the recent eruptions in anti-science populism. We cannot depend on the political will of politicians alone to solve these emergencies.

One of the biggest action to restore the climate at LiveHOPE is a campaign to mobilize people to Plant 2 Trillion Peace Trees. The 2 Trillion Trees can remove 2 Trillion tons of greenhouse gases by the time the trees reaches 40 years old, and restore balance to our biosphere and ecosystems.

Ending our dependence on fossil fuels to prevent further damage to our climate and ecosystems cannot reverse the changes we have already made or guarantee a habitable planet. That is why we implementing strategies to restore the climate and our environment. The process of assisting the recovery of an ecosystem that has been degraded, damaged or destroyed needs to cooperative efforts of scientists, researchers, academia, organizations, and governments.

We want to make sure that we have a healthy future for humanity. Our children and future generations deserve to live on a healthy planet. Since we live in an interconnected world, here are some related SDGs:

THE SDG (R)EVOLUTION CONFERENCE

SDG Conference on all topics related to the SDGs and the Enhanced SDGs

The LiveHOPE’s SDG (R)evolution Conference is one of the world’s largest private-sector organized and globally broadcasted conferences on the 17 U.N. Sustainable Development Goals and our greater 26 Enhanced Sustainable Development Goals (“SDGs”). The adoption of the SDGs and the Paris Agreement in 2015 established a strong foundation for coherent implementation of climate action and sustainable development objectives across all levels and sectors. The goal of the conference is to educate and to mobilize 2 billion people to become active partners and revolutionaries for the SDGs.

A radical transformation is needed for these global environmental, humanitarian, and climate emergencies. Everyone has a vital part to play in transforming our world into a place that works for all life on Planet Earth. Your role cannot be a passive one because we are all in the same boat called Planet Earth.

This international conference on the SDGs provides a forum for individuals, academia, government, civil society, UN agencies, and the private sector to come together to share practical solutions to achieve the SDGs. The conference is to take action for people, planet and prosperity.  We all need to be part of the global transformation and make clear commitments towards sustainable development, the reduction of social inequalities and the improvement of living conditions at the local and global level.

The SDGs are a response to this need: a universal, ambitious, sustainable development agenda involving education, health, environment, industry, justice, governance, cities among others. Challenges such as health and demographic change, food security, quality education for all, secure and clean water, green and efficient energy sources, climate change, and inclusive and secure communities need the engagement of all people and organizations responding at global and local levels. On one hand, contributing to the global challenges of the world (summarized by the SDGs) and on the other hand, helping the economic, social and cultural development of individuals, nations, regions or societies.

The SDG Categories that you can participate in are shown below:

THE LOHAS (R)EVOLUTION CONFERENCE

Lifestyles of Health & Sustainability Conference
on health, wellness, healthy food, medicines and more

The LiveHOPE’s LOHAS R(evolution) Conference is one of the world’s largest health, wellness, sports,  and sustainability conferences, with a focus on SDG#3: Health & Wellness. This event is part of LiveHOPE’s Green Living Expo.

LOHAS — is an acronym for Lifestyles of Health and Sustainability, a demographic segment-first identified in 1996 by marketing guru Paul Ray who found in his research a growing, and influential group, initially labeling as “cultural creatives” or “conscious consumers”. If you buy health food or organic products, show concern for the environment or the climate, buy a hybrid or electric cars, meditate or do yoga, you are a member of the Lifestyles of Health and Sustainability (LOHAS) demographic.

Like the label or not, LOHAS people, or Lohasians, are putting monetary pressure on corporations to do the right thing: care for the planet, use less toxic ingredients, and create just social policies. The LOHAS movement has reached a “tipping point”. More people than ever are buying hybrid cars, eating organic foods, and consulting natural medicine. Yet planetary devastation continues unabated; wars rage. At the LOHAS conference meet the people who are striving to make the world a better place, with better health and wellness.

Your continual good health and wellness are important to a productive life of joy and happiness. The conference will showcase new technologies, foods, medicines, and strategies to ensure healthy lives and promotes the well-being of all ages. Also, your prosperity and the environment play a significant role in a person’s health and well-being. Many more people today are living healthier lives than in the past decade. Nevertheless, people are still suffering needlessly from preventable diseases, and too many are dying prematurely. Overcoming disease and ill health will require concerted and sustained efforts, focusing on population groups and regions that have been neglected.

This will be a premier networking opportunity featuring speakers and leaders from the LOHAS marketplace, health, and wellness industries.

So the “environmental movement” is becoming an economic movement, is joining the social justice movement, is becoming a sustainability movement. It’s leaving behind the “People’s Needs versus Nature’s Needs” conflict in favor of making the case for environmental health as the essential underpinning of prosperous and stable human civilization. The best news is that the data… it all supports what environmentalists have been saying for decades, which is that we mess with the complex mechanics of the biosphere at our peril. – Edward Norton, American Artist

THE WATER IS LIFE (R)EVOLUTION CONFERENCE

SDG Conference on protecting & restoring fresh water for all of Earth’s inhabitants

The LiveHOPE’s Water is Life R(evolution) Conference is a conference co-hosted with the Standing Rock Tribal Council, with focus on SDG 6: Water is Life – Clean Water and Sanitation. In 2016 to 2017, the Standing Rock Reservation was the flashpoint for global protests on stopping the Dakota Access Pipeline (DAPL) to protect fresh drinking water and freshwater rights.

LiveHOPE’s Water is Life R(evolution) Conference will take place at Standing Rock. We will discuss about practical solutions on how to: protect freshwater, water rights, monitor the health of water, and restore water sources. Lakes, ponds, streams, and any other water bodies other than sea are referred to as freshwater. The freshwater helps a wide range of plant and animal ecosystems whose composition is maintained by the availability of food, oxygen, temperature, and sunlight. Freshwater environments are smaller ones compared to the oceanic bodies, but they serve as the important centers of biodiversity. Isolated ponds and streams provide a haven for plants and animals.

Autumn Peltier, 13-year-old water advocate, addresses UN

Climate change and rapid change is a defining feature of the 21st Century. Increasingly severe threats attributed to climate change and environmental challenges involve water, including among them scarcity, security, fracking, pollution, over-appropriation of water resources, extreme hydrological events, accelerating loss of aquatic biodiversity, and overstressed fisheries.

Sustaining the aquatic ecosystems that provide fresh water, regulate water flow and quality, and provide habitat for aquatic organisms and biodiversity is thus key to sustaining human welfare and the natural systems that support us. Water is Life. Mni Wiconi.

THE WEALTH (R)EVOLUTION CONFERENCE

SDG Conference on generating wealth, prosperity & abundance by protecting the Earth

The LiveHOPE’s Wealth (R)evolution Conference is a conference focus on SDG 1: End Poverty in All Forms. The conference will discuss about a new way of generating wealth, prosperity & abundance for all without destroying the Earth.

The conference will feature keynote speaker David Kam, the Founder and Executive Producer of the LiveHOPE Festival about his upcoming book, “The End of Poverty. Only if you want it” – a revolutionary and Earth-shattering solution that came in the form of a lucid dream to replant the Tree of Life, which can potentially end global poverty in our lifetime while simultaneously restoring Earth’s climate, ecosystems, and biosphere. What will the post poverty world look like, and how do we move into a world of wealth, prosperity and abundance for all?

The LiveHOPE’s Wealth (R)evolution Conference will take actions and provide solutions on how to End Global Poverty in our lifetime. In 2018, extreme poverty widely refers to making below the international poverty line of $1.90/day. Nearly 1/2 of the world’s population — more than 3 billion people — live on less than $2.50 a day. More than 1.3 billion live in extreme poverty — less than $1.90 a day. 1 billion children worldwide are living in poverty. According to UNICEF, 22,000 children die each day due to poverty. Obviously, the system is broken. From 2020 to 2030, let us all work together to create a world that works for everyone.

This event is attractive to governments, academics, civil society, the private sector, and ordinary people. Besides conferences, attendees can also participate in workshops focused on generating new wealth, prosperity and abundance using natural capital accounting, fair and equal wages, housing discrimination, and programs impacting children and families. Each workshop was organized to engage, educate, and activate the attendees and 2 billion viewers to speak out against injustice and advocate for policies that will reduce poverty worldwide.

THE WORLD BASIC INCOME (R)EVOLUTION CONFERENCE

SDG Conference on basic income and its value

The World Basic Income (R)evolution Conference is to launch the World Basic Income Program (“WBI Program”) as part of the “Living Economy” being developed by the Earth Dollar team. The WBI Program as being established as a means to End Extreme Poverty Worldwide, while restoring Planet Earth as part of SDG 1: End Poverty in All Forms.

From 2020 to 2030, we expect up to 2 billion applicants will apply to receive a WBI. The World Basic Income (R)evolution Conference will discuss what is a basic income, what is the Living Economy, how it works, who can receive it, and the impact on society.

The World Basic Income Program is an offshoot of the universal basic income concept and is slightly different from one another. While universal basic income provides an unconditional income, the recipients of the World Basic Income program can receive a conditional income as long as they live a sustainable lifestyle.

The need for a World Basic Income Program has arisen due to automation, robotization, artificial intelligence (AI), and the future of work because it can significantly reduce the number of available jobs. The World Basic Income Program can be implemented internationally, nationally, regionally or locally. A basic income that is sufficient to meet a person’s basic needs (at or above the poverty line) is sometimes called a full basic income while if it is less than that amount, it is sometimes called partial.

The only thing that scares me more than space aliens is the idea that there aren’t any space aliens. We can’t be the best that creation has to offer. I pray we’re not all there is. If so, we’re in big trouble. ― Ellen DeGeneres

WHAT IS TEDx LIVEHOPE? TED(Technology, Entertainment and Design) video and TEDx are a series of global talks on interesting subjects. The difference between TED and TEDx events are that the former takes more of a global approach while the latter typically focuses on a local community that concentrates on local voices. TED and TEDx make their events interesting because the Organizers are interesting. They select interesting themes, interesting speakers, and interesting audiences. For TED, it’s Anderson and his team. However, TEDx stands for independently organized TED event – but it’s more of a TED multiplied. It’s been the force that has taken TED across the planet and seeded all of these communities.  The ‘x’ factor in TEDx truly is the organizers. The TED philosophy, according to Lara Stein, the Founder and Director of TEDx, consists of one sentence, “it’s about simplified, authentic storytelling.” Which seems to fit well with its mission of, “ideas worth spreading”. Combine both with a remarkable TEDx organizer and speaker and you get the 18 minute presentation equivalent of a Hollywood blockbuster.TED and TEDx are powerful events because their organizers and staff don’t do it for the money or the fame – for which there is neither. They do it to make a difference. And people that do things out of passion, do them better. For TEDx LiveHOPE we will be focused on presenting solutions for Climate Change and the SDGs. We hope to make these talks an astounding success.
